New York, NY | July 18, 2023 – Ariel Partners, a leader in IT consulting and enterprise transformation, is proud to announce that we have been awarded a six-year contract by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) to provide maintenance and enhancements for the NYC Vital Services System (VSS). This $7M contract underscores Ariel Partners’ commitment to improving essential public health services through innovative technology solutions.
The NYC Vital Services System (eVital) is a critical infrastructure that supports the health and wellbeing of millions of residents by providing essential services such as birth and death certificates, health records, acknowledgement of parentage (AOP) and other vital statistics. Ariel Partners’ role in maintaining and enhancing this system will involve implementing cutting-edge technologies, optimizing system performance, and ensuring robust security measures to protect sensitive data. The eVital system is used 24/7 by over 17,000 users from local area hospitals, healthcare providers, funeral homes, and the office of the chief medical examiner. The system shares data with the social security administration (SSA), the new York state Medicaid system, the center for disease control (CDC) and the national center for health statistics (NCHS). eVital stores more than 15 million images including birth certificates for all NYC births from 1910.
