Ariel Partners Joins NIH CIO-SP4 Contract with MicroHealth

New York, NY | March 24, 2023 – Ariel Partners is excited to announce its role as a subcontractor on the MicroHealth team under the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Chief Information Officer-Solutions and Partners 4 (CIO-SP4) contract. This collaboration underscores Ariel Partners’ dedication to delivering innovative IT services that empower federal agencies to achieve critical missions in healthcare, commerce, and other civilian sectors.

The CIO-SP4 is a Best-in-Class (BIC) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), managed by the NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC). Recognized for its ability to streamline acquisitions and ensure access to top-tier IT providers, the BIC designation confirms the contract as a preferred vehicle for federal IT procurement. Spanning 10 years, with a five-year base period and a five-year option, the CIO-SP4 GWAC offers a ceiling of $50 billion, more than doubling the $20 billion ceiling of its predecessor, CIO-SP3. Task orders awarded in the final days of the ordering period may extend for an additional five years.

Under this contract, Ariel Partners and MicroHealth will provide support across all 10 task areas:

  1. IT Services for Biomedical Research, Health Sciences, and Healthcare – Enhancing research capabilities and healthcare operations.
  2. CIO Support – Offering expert guidance to optimize information technology management and strategies.
  3. Digital Media – Delivering innovative solutions for digital content creation and management.
  4. Outsourcing – Managing IT functions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  5. IT Operations and Maintenance – Ensuring smooth, reliable performance of critical IT systems.
  6. Integration Services – Developing and implementing seamless technology solutions.
  7. Cybersecurity – Protecting federal systems against evolving threats.
  8. Digital Government and Cloud Services – Driving digital transformation and cloud adoption.
  9. Enterprise Resource Planning – Streamlining and improving enterprise-level operations.
  10. Software Development – Creating custom applications to meet unique mission requirements.

“We are honored to join the MicroHealth CIO-SP4 team as a subcontractor,” said Craeg Strong, CTO of Ariel Partners. “This partnership allows us to contribute to impactful IT initiatives that improve service delivery and operational efficiency across healthcare and other critical civilian domains. We are excited to support federal agencies as they leverage technology to address complex challenges and meet the needs of the people they serve.”

CIO-SP4 builds on the success of its predecessor, CIO-SP3, whose ordering period has been extended through April 2025. This seamless transition ensures continued access to essential IT services for federal agencies. Ariel Partners’ involvement as a subcontractor reflects its commitment to supporting this critical evolution in federal IT contracting.
